Five Wins Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Rafał Piekara ("we", "us", "the developer") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Five Wins mobile application ("the App"). We respect your privacy and aim to collect as little data as possible.

1. Who we are

Five Wins is published by Rafał Piekara, a sole proprietor based in Poland. We are the data controller for any personal data processed in connection with the App.

2. What we collect

2.1 Information you provide directly

We do not require an account to use the App and do not ask you to submit personal data such as name, email, address, or phone number.

The "wins" you record each night — whether typed or dictated — are stored locally on your device using Apple's on-device storage. They are not uploaded to us or to any server we operate. We never see, receive, or store the content of your entries.

2.2 Microphone and voice

If you choose to record a win by voice, the App uses the microphone and Apple's Speech framework to transcribe your speech into text. Transcription runs on your device (requiresOnDeviceRecognition is enabled) — the audio is not sent to Apple's servers or to us. The microphone is active only while you are recording during the ritual.

2.3 Anonymous usage analytics (off by default)

The App includes an optional, privacy-preserving analytics component powered by PostHog. It is disabled by default. No analytics events are collected unless you explicitly turn on Settings → Privacy → Anonymous Usage.

If you opt in, the App sends anonymous product-usage events (for example, that a ritual was completed) to PostHog. These events:

• Do not include the content of your wins
• Do not include your name, email, Apple ID, or precise location
• Are tied only to a random, app-generated identifier

You can turn analytics off again at any time in the same settings screen.

2.4 Information related to subscriptions

When you purchase a Five Wins subscription, the purchase is processed by Apple (in-app purchase) and our subscription provider RevenueCat receives anonymized purchase data so we can manage your subscription status.

The data RevenueCat receives includes:

• An anonymous app-generated user identifier (random ID, not your Apple ID)
• The product identifier you purchased (e.g. fivewins_monthly)
• The transaction identifier and purchase date
• Country/region of the App Store account that made the purchase
• Subscription status (active, expired, in trial, etc.)

We do not receive your Apple ID, full name, email, payment card data, or device identifiers. Apple handles the actual payment and discloses to us only what is required to validate the receipt.

3. Why we process this data

We process the limited data described above for the following purposes:

• Service provision — to grant access to the features you have paid for, restore purchases on a new device, and validate your subscription status.
• Product improvement — where, and only where, you have opted in to anonymous usage analytics, to understand which features are used so we can improve the App.
• Compliance — to comply with our obligations under the Apple Developer Program License Agreement and applicable tax/consumer law.

The legal basis for subscription processing is performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). The legal basis for anonymous analytics is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.

4. Sharing your data

We share the limited data described above with:

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.

5. International transfers

Apple, RevenueCat, and PostHog may process data on servers located outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where this happens, those transfers are protected by Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission and/or the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

6. How long we keep your data

Your wins remain on your device until you delete them or remove the App; you can also wipe all data at any time from within the App. We do not hold a copy.

We retain subscription records for as long as your subscription is active and for a reasonable period afterwards (typically up to 7 years) to comply with tax and accounting obligations. Anonymous analytics events, if enabled, are retained by PostHog according to their retention policy.

You can ask Apple to revoke purchase records by following Apple's instructions for managing subscriptions: support.apple.com/HT202039.

7. Your rights

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with similar laws, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Have your data deleted (subject to legal retention obligations)
• Restrict or object to processing
• Withdraw consent to analytics at any time
• Receive your data in a portable format
• Lodge a complaint with the data protection authority in your country (in Poland: Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych — uodo.gov.pl)

8. Children's privacy

Five Wins is rated 4+ in the App Store. The App does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone, regardless of age. We do not show advertising, and your entries never leave your device. If you are a parent or guardian and have questions, please contact rafal@piekara.me.

9. Security

Your entries are stored locally on your device. Subscription and optional analytics data flow directly between your device, Apple, RevenueCat, and PostHog over encrypted connections (HTTPS / TLS 1.2+). We do not operate our own backend server, so the developer never has direct access to a database of users.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top. Material changes will be highlighted on the App Store description for the next app update. Continued use of the App after a change indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
