These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Morning Word mobile application ("the App") published by Rafał Piekara ("we", "us", "the developer"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. The App
Morning Word is an alarm-clock application connected with Scripture reading: the morning alarm shows a Bible reference, and the user silences the mission by reading the passage aloud (verified on-device) or photographing the page. The App includes the full public-domain Polish Gdańsk Bible (1881) and works offline.
The App is provided by Rafał Piekara, a sole proprietor based in Poland.
2. License
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the App on devices that you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use.
You may not:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App except to the extent permitted by applicable law.
- Sell, sublicense, lease, rent, or distribute the App or any part of it.
- Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices.
- Use the App in any way that violates applicable law.
3. Paid access
Using the App requires a purchase. Two options are offered, at the prices shown in the App and in the store at the time of purchase:
- Weekly subscription — auto-renews every week until cancelled in your store subscription settings.
- Yearly access — a one-time purchase valid for 12 months; it does not auto-renew. To continue after 12 months, purchase it again.
Payment is charged to your Apple or Google account. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; manage or cancel them in your store's subscription settings. Purchases can be restored with "Restore purchases" in the App. Refunds are handled by Apple/Google under their policies.
4. Alarm reliability
We work hard to make the alarm ring dependably (on iOS 26+ it uses the system AlarmKit alarm). Actual behavior depends on your device settings (permissions, battery optimizations, system modes) — the App includes a reliability checklist to help. The App is not a safety-critical device: we are not liable for consequences of a missed alarm or of oversleeping.
5. Scripture text
The Scripture text follows the Gdańsk Bible (Biblia Gdańska, 1881), which is in the public domain. All other elements of the App are protected by applicable intellectual-property law.
6. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind to the maximum extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claims relating to the App is limited to the amount you paid for it in the preceding 12 months. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that consumers hold under mandatory provisions of applicable law.
7. Changes and termination
We may update the App and these Terms; material changes will be announced in the App or on this page. We may terminate the license if you materially breach these Terms.
8. Governing law
These Terms are governed by Polish law. Mandatory consumer-protection provisions of your country of residence remain unaffected.
